| The Community Mental Health Center for Mid-Eastern Iowa annually serves 2,500 individuals, couples, or family groups. Approximately 15% are under the age of 18. | ||||||||||
| The community mental health center movement was launched
in 1963 with the passage of the Community Mental Health Centers Act in
the Kennedy administration. We are one of 29 community mental health centers in the state of Iowa. Our Board of Directors is the policy-making body of the center. The board is composed of 15 people from three Iowa counties: Cedar, Johnson, and Iowa. |
